That's a cheap excuse. Multiple RPGs have done a better job at this having larger worlds which makes it so much easier to break the narrative's fluidity. From what I'm seeing, the developers put no effort into this.

Just like Deadfire, though I don't recall you finding that to be an issue then lol

I thought that might come up and I'm glad it did. Deadfire is a much cheaper game with a much larger scope as an RPG. However, in Deadfire actions can happen backwards and still have an effects on conversation. It doesn't work all the time, but that's for two reasons: 1.Obsidian always had problems in coding this properly; 2. The writing in Deadfire is lazy sometimes. Nevertheless, there are many instances where prior actions get different results and I've never been locked out of content because of such problems. In Vampyr, the story doesn't acknowledge any of my exploratory actions. The protagonist asks questions about characters that he has met like he never seen them in his life.

Not really shocked to see the game turned into an mediocre mess although I was really hoping for the opposite.

Be sure to wear your Obsidian Defense Force badge when you head out.

I wish we had more vampire games like this "mediocre mess"

Yes, you are being hypocritical.
I on the other hand have pointed out what I hate about the game, and the reason I didn't bring up the sequencing like you did is because other games I play have the same issue and I understand why it would be a pain to cover that.
But no Obsidian can do no wrong I guess.

I even said in the post above that even Deadfire has this issue. But it's not at as such a scale because, like with many other RPGs, the devs have tried at least partially to make things work both ways. Vampyr's environment is much more enclosed so it should have been easier to deal with this. Even more so when the game's focused on the choices made and their consequences for each group of NPCs.

Finished it with a non-lethal-to-important-people way (guess the scores of Pridwen and Skal mobs don't count ) and managed to save anyone who could be saved (except Spoiler: | Trump, I let Trump die in dignity as a reformed man ) | . Yes, there's a Spoiler: | Trump NPC in the game |
There are four endings from what I see. Got the "best" one now.

Is there the "Evil" ending? Not just bad (as in you failed), but something like in Arcanum or Vampire Redemption or something.

There's a good ending, a semi-good, a bad, and an evil one.
Good: Spoiler: | You controlled your hunger, Redhead joins you, you go to America together and look for a cure for vampirism (or at least the hunger part) |
Semi-Good: Spoiler: | You control your hunger most of the time, Redhead joins you, you stay in the basement of her dad's castle and look for a cure for vampirism |
Bad: Spoiler: | You somehow betray the Redhead, Redhead is sad and dies in flames, you go on a sad (red tear!) killing rampage |
Evil: Spoiler: | You killed everyone, Redhead is sad and dies in flames , you go on a happy rampage, accepting you're a monster. You also join the Republican party |
Even the good ones are tragic though:
Spoiler: | Erections are controlled by hormones. Your body is dead and therefore produces none. Enjoy eternity with the hot gilf redhead, limpdick |
@lametta
What was worth what? Not killing anyone? Only if you like sapp...happy endings. But it's a challenge , I must say. Sometimes I just ran away from the mobs, I was like level 20 and they hit me with 35, and combat xp is meh

Yes, Codex released a fix for that, it is basically their steam_api.ini with that Offline=1
Just to clear it up for anyone still confused.

Damn..this is so boring and lazy... Spoiler: | Why most of the devs "force" you to kill everyone to get the evil ending? This is so banal...
And why can't we slowly corrupt Redhead and make her The Queen of The Damned and rule over pitiful mortals! |

What are the requirements for the good ending? Not to feed on NPCs or to save every NPC?

More enclosed? It's basically just quests and the faction system in Deadfire where I can offer a response to something I have no idea about.
Deadfire just skips the introduction part by the quest giver and just assumes you already know about it.
Anyway, quitting for now and will be restarting the game because fucking hell are the dialog options vague as fuck.
Spoiler: | Do not charm Dorothy Crane |
I thought that was the ideal choice because I managed to unlock it, but it just plunged the district into chaos. The wording should have been more specific about what bits of memory were to be wiped.
Spoiler: | I thought it was just the blackmailing thing, not stopping the medical dispensary. |
Also the UI sucks, and they really should give quest items a proper name. Like Bernard's watch or something because I accidentally sold a watch and now the quest it is tied to is completed. Eugh.

Plot spoilers in spoiler tag
Pretty much that. And I think you also shouldn't Spoiler: | betray the redhead by turning Trump into a vamp |
I believe you can still get the good ending even when npc's die if you don't save them or because of your actions (there will be a time when Spoiler: | you can leave a powerful Skal leader alone. Hint: he WILL go insane if you do not do something to help |
Oh, and I sometimes save-scummed by manually backing up the one save you get.
It's in C:\Users\profilename\AppData\Local\AVGame\Saved. Game alt-tabs wiithout a problem, so no biggie.

The more interesting it would be to corrupt her. And this ending should be difficult to achieve.
