105 GB mandatory download and probably extra content on top of the required download size.
(Or what it would be for a physical edition. Probably still pretty hefty.)
Thus beating out GTA V at 80 GB currently and that's without the extra online stuff which will probably be added to RDR2 gradually over the course of the next couple of years expanding the file size even more.

That's why they are waiting for the emulators to get up to speed. So they can steal that, package it and call it a remake.

Though they don't create things "from scratch" when porting over to PC.. we even have GTA V which is the "same" code, just a newer version of the engine.

@vurt RDR was something else, if they would have ported it, we'd have it by now. Anything but making it "from scratch" was impossible.

It was never impossible. They just deemed the likely return on investment insufficient.

Sounds like it'll be shit then. Only a paid review would sound so nauseatingly obsequious, and that only tends to happen if the game isn't going to live up to the hype...

just wrote almost the same experience above. So much for defending your point about "mixing realities". |
It's one thing seeing things that doesn't exist and something else having a feeling for less than a second that you should do something which is tied to the gameplay. I've never heard of anyone seeing things like you describe.

Guess I should've added that as fake I meant Quote: | “It's abundantly clear that Rockstar has achieved something remarkable - true immersion, to make the player belong in a certain space, to make the illusion of an additional reality so convincing that you find yourself missing the characters when you aren't playing, that your own movements start to feel alien and Arthur's normal.” | as this is what the discussion was about.
And come on, man. And you were just writing how you were thinking what key to press to do something and what will give you more mana but you say it's not possible to imagine health bars over people's health after playing Diablo (in which health bars are all over everything AND big part of the gameplay) for too much time. Are you serious ?

Imagine is one thing, seeing is something else. You said you were seeing it, i guess you changed your mind, but yes then i agree.
A person's opinion or experiences is not fake.
...and give me a fucking break, Rockstar feeling the need to pay someone to give a positive preview of their game yeah i bet that's the success to their games, all the paid previews and reviews. Their games sell themselves because they're (usually) really great and possibly the most immersive 3D games out there. There's nothing that he writes that couldn't be applied to e.g RDR 1... and sure it's perhaps a bit cheesy what he says, but whatever, i have no reason to believe he didn't love the game or that he got really immersed. I expect it to be at least as good as RDR, most likely a lot better.
(waiting for that check now, Rockstar..)

Well, in such case seeing and imagining are the same thing because no person has health bars for real over them, do they? Or have you seen them? Do you think when a person on drugs says he sees unicorns, there are really unicorn around him or are they part of his drugged imagination? Similarly the mind plays tricks on people who played games unhealthy amount of times such as your case with thinking about pressing keys to do stuff and mine with imagining health bars.
And you can't really think big famous companies don't pay for reviews? With your logic why do they even spent $100+ million for marketing when they were already excessively famous for GTA III. GTA IV, RDR, Max Payne and LA Noire? Why does EA who is a much bigger company than Rockstar (for now at least) and almost everyone knows about their games (not to talk about Star Wars as well) still pay for reviews. Especially such big companies are the ones who pay for reviews the most because these are like pocket money for them.

Hallucinating is different from imagining, with hallucinations you don't need to imagine, it's presented to you as real as seeing something.
No i don't think this reviewer was paid by Rockstar because there's way too little to gain from it and way too much to loose if it would get out. I imagine small extremely desperate indie companies with no rep and no titles behind them to do this, perhaps, but someone like Rockstar, and for a game like RDR 2 which is such a well known, well loved franchise already. lol, no way.. its makes absolutely zero sense.
What's more likely, that it's actually a great game which impresses the hell out of all these sites, and there's absolutely no need for R* pay them, or that it's a so-so game where Rockstar feels "ugh, this really didn't turn out that good, we need to open our wallets here".
In this day and age it would matter little too since user reviews is a big thing now, and we would see more cases of 90-100% scores on gaming sites and super low scores on e.g Steam. Also these sites would long term lose all credibility and would get less visitors, so its not really a viable way to earn money.

I'm sure its a good game and does well on the immersion side... that quote however is just nothing more than him getting off on his own writing. Gotta stand out somehow right?
But if anyone took that 'cheque' bit of mine serious... don't
