They so messed up this season. Like they were trying to get rid of it in a way.
Maybe they filmed another 6 normal episodes where the things aren't so f**ked up, and that's why it took so long xD

It's not perfect. The decisions are weird and sometimes unexpected... and I would've done some things differently but well - this is what we got and I enjoy it a lot. Let's see how George will finish it... There is still 1 episode left, so let's hope the payoff will be worth it.

oh yeah, you were raving about ep.4, no wonder you like this one.
Her going mad made little sense, she was always careful not to harm civilians why throw all that away on impulse, also she said once 'I am not the mad King' and Varys agreed as well as Tyrion.
Also Varys is an idiot, he was pushing her idiot brother Viserys to be king, a version of Tageryn Jeoffrey, he can't spot a solid ruler to save his life. Viserys supported slavery, he was spoiled and cruel, vain and an idiot, a complete turd and Varys wanted him to rule.

But You could see her growing with craze for the throne for years now. It is not weird and definitely not the worst part of the episode. The worst part is the Tyrion and Varys part... wtf

I'm not sure surprise is the right word, we all know this persons background, it would have been pretty idiotic to not use that. Also this is the kind of things that differentiates dark fantasy from fantasy, Harry Potter it aint, and i'm happy they do the genre justice in that regard. Execution wise it was rather lame.

never saw her went crazy, not once, before this episode. Even when she crucified the masters which was a revenge for them crucifying the children.
She was always calm and only went crazy after Tyrions strategy blunders.
Also what purpose was her army, she never needed them in the end, the dragon did everything, the story has more holes then Swiss cheese after Al Capone had it. |

You are actually right this time. It wasn't bad, it was horrible. The writing had almost no redeeming qualities and that's not all:
- Varys got killed in the most idiotic way, mirroring in a way Littlefinger's death. It's quite obvious these characters were too intelligently written in the books and without the books, DnD had no idea what to do with them. Since when Varys works so upfront?
- Daenerys turned mad over the course of two fuckin' episodes. Her character development went through warping chapters that put Arya's or Euron's warping skills to shame.
- Jon's army charged without any order from Jon snow. Why? Because a 5th rate character like Greyworm threw a spear?
- All the things Jon had to go through because he decided to support Daenerys are actually experienced in this episode by Arya.
- Why the fuck is the army in front of those huge walls?
- Why is Davos in the front line?
- Why the skorpions can't shoot or hit for shit now? Daenerys and Drogon did Chinese level of grinding between episode 4 and 5 to outlevel Euron's plot armor?
- Why is Jaime going back to Cersei after years of character development that put him as far as possible from her?
- What happened with the Cersei - Jamie - Euron baby plot? Was that for nothing?
- Why is the dragon's fire more effective than missiles?
- What the fuck is up with the scene cutting? It's always swapping from one falling character to another. That's such a bad cinematographic technique.
- They did 30 minutes of dragon CGI in this episode but couldn't put a patting scene with Ghost?

Don't forget the 20.000 strong Golden Company actually being just a few hundred soldiers in front of the gate and getting obliterated within a minute.

This season sucks. And since the spoilers were all right so far, my guess is that the series finale will suck too then since it should be right.
Basically reminds me of LOST. Great show, ruined towards the last 2 seasons.
I don't care if KC loves it, good for him... But to me the psychology of the characters doesn't make any sense at all.
It reminds me a bit of Star Wars Episode 3, emo Anakin turning into Darth Vader.. well emo Dany turns into the Mad King in a blink of an eye.
Also don't care if people say there were hints in season 7 when she killed Sam's brother & father. This was forced also to prepare for season 8 idiocy. I remember being shocked back then because her motive didn't make any sense. And it was the only thing she went mad about, the rest she was docile like previous season. Season 8 confirms that.
You want a proper ending? Go watch Breaking Bad last season. And I'm sure some people didn't like the outcome of the main character, YET it made sense, and everything made sense.
This ? Nope. Everything felt forced and rushed, like they had 1 month to write the story.
