Hmm, since its f2p atm, maybe i can download the f2p files and replace them for my download..
Edit: wow, just tried to download from the f2p link and the installation defaults to russian, even though u can select english (wich doesnt do anything) i guess the only way to play this in english is buying it AGAIN in your region, jesus.
Finally, playing a bit... immersive mode (played like 5 minutes before in beta...) how long does this take to really get interesting? If ever?
I am now a bit after this and now it's pretty much "pop a couple of heads and /or have some red light drones appear who shred me to bits unlike I run away like Udine Bolt! Oh and I think I killed like 5 of those "Elite" Wolf soldiers in a panic spray and pray...
Played a little bit last night, the new immersive mode is pretty nice so far, although there could be some customization regarding enemy/ai/detection difficulty instead of the current easy to extreme presets...
And as usual, there's a lot of bugs introduced with the patch like the specialization keybind is hardcoded and no matter what you do, it can't be changed
I've been playing on Vulkan and the performance is much better than DirectX for me, just some general stutters when I load the game but it's gone after 15-20 seconds. While playing on DirectX it was a complete mess for me, I've never been able to use Fullscreen+vsync because the game kept locking to 30FPS randomly
Wildlands you always knew where to go next. Here I am 30 minutes in and already I am sent like halfway to the other side of the island?
Actually never mind. With the Immersive default mode, you have to simply read through the mission text and find the place on the map yourself. It's a lot easier than it looks.
I just have one account with games I bought via RU and one "normal".
Anyway, game is getting way tough lol. Immersive default is like Hardcore. No minimap, no markers for anything and you get sniped and shot at all the time and die after 3 hits
So, what's the consensus? I sure think it's better without the gear score (gave it a quick try, what a shit show), but immersive still feels very arcade-ish, but you raise the difficulty and you are insta-gibbed.
It's my usual problem with games, I am too good for 1 difficulty and just a bit too bad for the next higher, so I stuck in between, with the choice to either have the game being a chore or a breeze...
Well, enemies drop very quickly and don't react much. It feels very much like a shooting gallery. Problem is, if you tune up the difficulty, it just reverses it and you are the bullet magnet
I've played a little bit more with immersive mode since friday and, it's a welcome addition to the game, but the story feels like it's all over the place/disconnected (haven't touched the DLC missions) and the UI is extremely annoying.
The difficulty could be customizable too, but as usual, raising the diff. just either lowers your damage output or buffs the enemy damage to like 1000000% and see you through walls or 10km away. Instead of tweaking the AI to make enemies smarter/increasing number of enemies and patrols or something like that. This is something that I hate about games these days, It's just lazy programming...

That's exactly my problem too. With Doom Eternal, Nightmare feels extremely annoying and unfair, while Ultra Violence feels like a walk in the park
Pretty clear it wouldn't change the whole game around, animations and weapons are all still arcade and you feel no weight to most of them nor your character.
Wildlands kind of embraced the arcade feel so in the end it's still miles ahead of Breakpoint.
Yeah, Wildlands is much better than BP. Sadly I've never finished the story and DLC's, only killed like 3 bosses of the main story. What i hate the most in Wildlands is the gun sounds, they sound awful like pea shooters , BP isn't that different ofc, but they sound a little bit better though...
I've always been a fan for Ghost Recon games, but with the recent games I kinda force myself to play it ... I do enjoy clearing outposts and hunting for items/blueprints in BP way more than Wildlands, but that's about as much fun as I can "extract" from this game anyway
Edit: So I've been trying to use ReShade, and with the recent update+vulkan, battleye seems to block the Reshade64.dll, any known way to get around this?
Vulkan works better for me, I've always had all sorts of bugs in DX with this game, so I rather stick with Vulkan this time.
The approach remains the same every time and that hasn't much changed since the original WL. Just kill everyone first from afar and then do/search the objective.
What I find missing, is any kind of "alert level" or similar. I mean sometimes they clearly catch me and start shooting at me, but there is no increase of either Alert or any reinforcements. Once you done killing the present guards, you're done and nobody will even come to investigate...
Auroa is... unremarkable (not to say "shit") compared to virtual Bolivia. And because the setting has such a big influence on the game, I doubt there's any redemption for Breakpoint.
I won't be buying it. The trial was enough for me. Don't see the point in all that. First WL was way ahead of this. Funny characters with their special loot. This, nothing.
Nothing Immersive about it. it also doesn't matter what weapon you use. Somehow every weapon you pick up, comes with a silencer... wha? And in the end, it doesn't matter which you use. A Sniper is a Sniper, an Assault Rifle is an Assault Rifle. Minor Stat difference won't make a difference when head-shotting everything. Basically, the first weapon (of its type) is enough to finish the game.
It's just not fun. At least in Wildlands, there were some memorable bosses and custom weapons etc. but here.., nada. It all feels dead and copy pasted and sterile as hell.
The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.
