8/10... Wow ! Great movie! Great acting, good story, funny crude jokes. American Pie Sean Scott was excellent. Watching older movies now because the latest releases are pure dog shit.

Dark Light - 1/10

Utter tosh!, laughable, and a waste of 1.5 hours of the day.

Brain on Fire - 8.5/10

Superb true story, with a title that would make you laugh (as I did), but, it's a great performance all round, with Carrie-Anne Moss (Matrix), playing the mother of the daughter the story is about. Good stuff.

the platform (2019)

8/10

I think it was really good.. but if you want a clear ending and explanation of what the fuck was going on you might get disappointed.

1) Lenovo Legion 7 (AMD Ryzen 7 5800H, RTX 3080 16Gb, 32Gb DDR4, SSD 1TB +2TB

Turned it off after half an hour, couldn't get into it, plus it was making me sick (the food thing)

Dead Zone - 7/10

Oldie, but goodie, with one of my all time fav actors, Mr Walken, acting as he does, lol.

Unthinkable - 7/10

A story about how the USA treat their prisoners, pretty accurate it was too, not bad, and pretty good score for Samuel L. Jackson, which is rare.

Pinocchio (2019) - 6/10

A faithful portrayal of the original novel, technically valid and with quality direction/photography from Garrone. The simplistic nature of the story was for me honestly quite difficult to digest, but I can imagine children absolutely loving the movie and its charm, which is what counts after all. I was mostly curious to see if I could recognize anything since many scenes were shot nearby, and indeed I spotted quite a few familiar places Razz

The Rift (1990) - 4/10
It's a good b-movie horror if you want to have a laugh of how bad it is. Second part due to special effects has somehow competent feel but the script is just Laughing

The Relic (1997) - 5.5/10
Realistic lightning didn't do any favours for the movie. It wasn't a pleasant watch in a sunny day. The story is 0% original or very subtle. The monster was cool tho.

Below - 7/10
Well that was decent horror movie with some great cast and not bad script.

Mimic - 4.5/10
My least favourite Del Toro movie. He doesn't like it either so at least here we agree. The story was ok but I found it a mess on technical side of things.

@VonMisk, quality 90's b-grade movies imo.

Phantoms (1996): 7/10, Has a silent hill type vibe with Ben Affleck, Rose McGowen, Liev Schrieber and Peter o'tool.

The Chamber (1996): 8/10, somehow hadn't seen this Grimsham adaptation. Gene Hackman plays a racist bomber on deathrow.. Great actor and entertaining movie.

Open Water 2: Adrift (2006): lmao, friends take a yacht out and go swimming in the ocean without dropping the ladder.. Laughing surely this is impossible?

I've never understood how it's even possible. Even the actors are very obviously selected for comic relief / irony. They all look like action figures / dolls pretty much, i've always found that quite hilarious. One of my favorite sci-fi's (i find it better than the book), never had an issue with the pacing.

Could have been a cool TV-series.

Tunnels (1989) - / 10

I usually enjoy these odd old movies from the 80s...but this.. it was totally and utterly crap. Worthless story, bad acting and most of the time I had no idea what it was all about.

shitloads of new stuff in my pc. Cant keep track of it all.
