Figured out how to port FO4 retextures to this game, and I've gotta say, with a mix of FlanconOil/Luxor/Valius and other stuff + paired with my Appalachia Revamped Reshade the game looks 100% better, no more blurry crap textures not all of them, but still...
Might drop the files on Google Drive if anyone's interested, as I can't publish on Nexus for obvious reasons

Nexus has their own FO76 mod list - I thought there were already texture improvement mods on there?
I mostly use HUD and other graphical mods - better scopes, glowing recipes and other small loot, etc.
The best mod is definitely Perk management - it's a MUST have to enjoy the game once you hit level 50 because you end up with so many perk cards and not enough points to put them in that you constantly end up swapping cards - with the mod you can tie the configurations to hot keys. I have a load out for exploring, one for harvesting (from creatures, plants, ...) + for eating, one for crafting gear, one for repairing gear, one for building around the camp, one for power armor, one for stealth, etc.
I must say that the lack of game-changing mods doesn't bother me - what DOES bother me which I always "fixed" with mods, was limited inventory space. This game forces you to focus on weight perks and crafting pocketed armor because the lack of inventory space is THE big stumbling block for many players.
It's so bad that the bigger players all bought a second account when they were very cheap to use as mules. It's a smart move - log both characters in and you can just move all items to an in-world container to move them across. You can really overload these characters and have almost unlimited storage space this way. Heck, you can use the mules just for selling since you can transfer caps too.
In fact, saying all this, I realize I should have done the same before prices went up...
Haven't bothered with screens yet as I was trying to check random places and see if the mods are working (which is pretty much impossible to see if every single texture is working as intended, my luck is that I've got like 25k caps so fast travel is basically free lol)
You can see the difference on ground tiles, vehicles and the APC. I'm using qUNT_MXAO so there might be some artifacting on the screens.
It's not that hard to port textures from FO4 (aside from weapons, didn't get any of them to work because the diffuse textures are somewhat different on most weapons in this game, but some might work).
All you need to do is open the normalmaps (_n.dds) and resave them on Photoshop to BC5 linear (Signed) and done. But, if you want to make sure everything work as intended, then you'll need to open all SeventySix Textures.ba2 and search for the textures one by one, because for some what-fuck-ever reason they decided to rename some of the textures albeit being the same as in FO4 (so far I've found just a handful of them, but still).
There's also might be some minor artifacts because the diffuse (_d.dds) has to be resaved aswell, to either BC1 (sRGB DX10+) or BC7 Fast/Fine (sRGB DX11+), but I haven't bothered doing this for 600+ files and besides that, the files get too big, about double the original size so there will be a lot of wasted VRAM...
Also, don't even bother going for large FO4 texture packs with small VRAM, without any mods the game sucks up 5/6Gb+ of VRAM on crowded places like Watoga/Charleston/etc, I get constantly up to 7,5Gb+ on almost anywhere in the game using these large texture packs, and I've chosen 2k for everything as 4k might cause the game to fuck itself

Added to mine too but I've modded mine quite a bit don't think I can be arsed re-downloading and migrating everything across.
Just move the Data folder?
In any other game, by any other developer it would be a no-brainer. Call me paranoid but I'm content that everything is seemingly working without rocking the boat.
The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.
if it wasnt double xp i would have quit before lvl 4, pretty slowish leveling and superbad early tutorial
forced myself to lvl 9 sofar, i just can not get over the blurry textures and disgusting shadows and lighting that makes everything a blurry mess i cant recognize enemies in
is there any mod that sharpens the game up ? or removes these retarded low res foilage ?
maybe its better on a small scren but on a tv, its horrendous to look at, and then all this blinding fake ass bloom/HRD , djeeses ...
Very bad. Not enjoying it. The animation is so bad...

well maybe because first 15 mins inside the vault everything sort looks ok, but once u get outside and see the foilage and shadows, u instantly wonder if u started in low resolution or low textures and alt f4
at 30 min mark i guess u find ur first ghoul warping and bunnyhopp strafing like no other
game is crap, i did not find anything interesting, borefest with pip boy, do that do this, had ton of fun more with generation zero, giving a free weekend to play tells a lot about the game.
I usually have a hard time, telling if a game is good or not, while playing, but once I leave it aside and don't come back to it, I kind of know it's bad, lol.
And I have zero wish to come back and play some more...
I had some random run up to the camp I was trying to build, stood there, waved a few times, then ran off.
What did they want? Who were they? Did they need help? Just being friendly? I'll never really know because 'she' disappeared after running back through the trees.
No chat. I guess that'll be the next update in a year or so - you can 'interact' with other players with a dialog box like with NPC's.
Strange game.
