This and the Dead Space remake are some of the best games I've played in the past years.
Only downside is the necessity to play the game THREE times (really?) to unlock a weapon with infinite ammo...

I thought this was the best REmake so far.
No invulnerable big bads chasing you around, you could kill anything if you just pumped enough lead into them.
Ashley was quite likable, I think she only had one line I didn't like. Voice actor was chef's kiss. I actually missed her whenever she was kidnapped.
Guns felt more powerful than in previous remakes, too. Riot shotgun was sheer joy to use. Should've played on hardcore, though. The normal difficulty turned out to be too easy. I'm just afraid the enemies might be too spongy there.
Best game this year so far.

The game seems to have some form of... dynamic derp loot system:
I spent A LOT of time playing / killing plenty of forastero haters in the most efficient way (environment / knife / headshot criticals) but... WITHOUT having any ammo drops. So the game actually fucking punished me for being efficient, BY NOT GIVING ME AMMO... Bastards! 
As soon as I started to remain low on bullets, the ammo started to drop. 
This is... quite a shit mechanic.
But hey, considering that the game is stellar in almost every other way... think I can let it pass.

Well considering that I once softlocked myself in RE2 remake by being too gung ho with ammo and that RE4 never was a survival horror but an action game I think it's okay.
Playing on normal and it's pretty easy tho.

That's why on my second run I want a single pistol (even the first one) with infinite ammo. I want to strike down in anger and with revenge those anti-forastero!11

probably not balanced enough
on normal is too easy, they die fast and plenty of ammo
on hard too spongey, they die harder but with same amounth of ammo as on normal i feel, so u do run of ammo on this but annoying to kill enemies
it needs to die fast like on normal but reduce the ammo

That was not point, friend.
The point is (more clearly explained) that something's... f... weird about the drop-rate of ammo.
It makes no 'fair sense' to drastically(!) increase ammo drops (from enemies) when you are out and to have ZERO drops for a long time IF you have ammo reserves in inventory... It's like... the 'system' is helping you out if you're too derp at playing, and punishing you if you are too good at playing / conserving ammo.
But, of course, derp players that spray ammo like diarrhea turds won't be bothered by such 'system'... |
