Performance is dogshit considering the game looks almost the same as the first one.
And what's with CPU temps? This game makes my CPU run hotter than cyberpunk.. Is it Denuvo fucking things up ?

Well one of the lead devs just made a thread on reddit and wrote that the game is meant to be played with upscaling and specifically mentions performance mode DLSS/FSR which the game even starts with enabled by default .
I mean i'm absolutely fine with upscaling if implemented well but it should never really be required to get playable performance especially not in performance mode which reduces image quality quite a lot.

1440p Ultra only gives me 46FPS at the start of the Tutorial, adding DLSS Quality brings it up to around 70

I checked mine now, i thought my FPS were in the 100s but it's 85 in that first camp you get to.
DLSS set to Quality and everything on Ultra, 1440p. 3090, 7800x3d.
@blackeyedboy yes there's supposed to be crafting. i've not tried it. no idea about exploration yet either, too early.

It's nothing like Last of Us (just so everyone else knows).
It's basically just a Souls-like game but with TPS mechanics and dimensional sci-fi elements. |
I didn't mean the gameplay, i mean the setting/atmosphere/characters at the start is a total last of us-rip off with you companion being a young girl and them talking about how the world might have been in the past etc.. also the girl having some disease, it's impossible to not think of TLoU.
It doesn't remind me of Dark Souls (gameplay) so far, but i'm still at the start.

Wow, that's really shitty attitude and very concerning when Devs just simply don't give a shit about any sort of optimization.
Not like I would buy this game. |

Same for me and honestly the souls like stuff is very light it's really not very punishing and procedural generation stuff is mostly unnoticeable it's not a rogue lite/like in any way, game is more say Diablo with less loot pinata then souls in my opinion.
They really made a good action rpg there if the technical was better this would be a goty contender for me.
