what the actual fuck

1080p performance is 960x540 ?? Laughing

It's your fault for not buying a 4090, what are you, too poor to be a true gamer?? Forget your essential financial obligations to play broken nvidia shill games. Since rasterazition is no longer a problem for most GPU's, this is nvidia's game plan I guess: pay developers to make their games unplayable Laughing

Why is on ultra dlss on performance? I would think on ultra you want it on quality.

If this is true i'm pretty sure PS5 will run ~40fps on low/medium at best Laughing

Requirements look unreal and yet, considering the technical state most of the games released this year, they sound like they're on point.

I don't know why we're behaving like we just got our first computer last week. We already saw the game running. Its fine. It's also selling itself as, if not the best looking, a top 3 one on the market. Remedy is using this type of low resolution base rendering upscaled to a higher res since alan wake. Quantum Break was using 4 previous very low res frames to make the image and upscale it at 720p on xbox. It's probably gonna have a softer image when we play. By design, how they conceived the game. And if the details behave like Control's or Quantum Break's, there's not gonna some huge differences between presets. We could play it on medium and have the game look 95% as good as it does on ultra

Not DLSS's fault that devs just use it as a crutch. It's a good technology and it could be used for better performance on worse setups, but instead they use it as a substitute for optimizing the game.

I doubt Nvidia goes to devs and tells them to not optimize their shit games though. Imagine if they optimized their game and added dlss on top.

dlss should be about enhancing the experience and not fixing performance

I guess you mean it turned to shit, lazy developer style.

The developers and gamers were given a tool to improve the experience and the former chose to do less work by throwing this as a requirement.

Yup, games like SW: jedi survivor, Starfield, CP2077 2.0/PL and now AW2 require a 4070 Ti or higher to even get decent FPS on high settings.. it's why I bought my 4080, no regrets so far except for the amount of money I had to pay for it. I had a 3080 before and it couldn't do what my 4080 does because of frame generation..

Dunno about the others, didn't play Jedi survivor and Starfield is a horrid mess of optimization, but CP2077 runs on a 3060 with everything maxed and no rt at 70+ fps at 1080p dlss quality.

And even with rt it doesn't need anywhere near a 4070 ti, you only need around that to run it with full path tracing at 1440p with dlss on quality, and that will get you around 60-120 fps depending on area(dog town being the worst), and that is a massive resource hog with like 30% less fps then normal rt, for minimal gain honestly.

For RT on Cyberpunk I've only noticed a significant visual different with Pathtracing, but that really is 4090 territory for a playable experience. Otherwise you can just enable RT reflections and call it a day on anything less.

This one does not sound promising at all for mid-range without even a hint of RT.

You're going to have to sacrifice something to use path tracing and get high fps. I have Ray Tracing on "psycho" and get pretty good fps. With path tracing on it's not good at all.

With a 4080 I get around ~105 most of the time, lowest it tends to go is around 90. That's with Pathtracing / DLSS3 on and everything else up to 11

"2025 - Optimus Prime" Very Happy

It should be enough for the next few years. (RTX High, 40-60 fps)
