Anyone else think the wind is a bit too much? It is constantly blowing. I don't mind using the hint as to which way I should go but the constant flow of wind ....
Thanks! Yeah, the wind is way too much. It's not much different than a constant giant arrow in your face The leaves and flower petals are more than enough.
There must have been a door there in the wall, when I came in.
Truly gone fishing.
For me this happens with mouse right click, and the a fix some have shared (locking the game to 60FPS) has not worked.

Sad to say the problem of Standoff button not working is still occurring even after setting max 60fps and exclusive fullscreen as recommended by Nixxes. It happened to me again today.

Same for capping framerate at 60 or setting your refresh rate to 60 - that doesn't work either.

Have it set to 60fps and it's not worked a single time since patch. It's worse than it was before.
Hm, luckily I haven't encountered that bug. For me, the only bug (I clearly notice) is the sound dropping off during combat. There's still music and some background sounds, but not of the fighting. It fixes itself after the fight is over, so no big deal. But it does happen quite often (say once every hour).

Not a single time I've failed standoff duel except the first tutorial one. Playing with X Series X controller, wireless and wired... there's no difference. All working fine at my end.
It does happen to me sometimes, but I think it's connected with how early you press the button. if it's as soon as the prompt appears or earlier - then it might break. If I wait a bit longer, then it's fine
Nah, I noticed the issue in the first couple of hours and over ~29hrs I've tried every combination of pressing it, waiting to press it, mashing it, alt tabbing, fullscreen on / off etc etc etc
And when it does work, pressing it early / late / whenever doesn't matter, it still works
Wouldn't be as much of an issue if the game didn't harp on about honor so much. It's a good way to recoup resolve too
Is there some alternate ending for avoiding assassinations and always go for honor? After a few dozen silent kills, there's a flashback to the uncle saying it's the cowards path or something. After you free him, he also says something about it.

finished the main game and its a solid 9, it might have the same formula as other open world games but this is just more polished, combat is very satisfying, has amazing japanese aesthetics, and a simple yet great story with interesting characters.
even after so many hours im still not bored, counted 60 side quests, i really liked the companion side quests arc. mystic tales and shinto shrines are also fun to do. i still have the dlc left which i heard is not that long and im trying to savior it more.
and damn what a song to end the game on, cant wait for them to announce the next game and on current hardware and see how much more can they push those visuals. this and shogun were really nice surprises this year
On my rig, 12700k + 32GB + 4080, I've played like 2 or 3 hrs so far but I noticed weird issue with PC slowing down. Game is ok, but when I alt-tab and try to do some webbrowsing it feels so sluggish, like 2fps on desktop. Game is ok, alt-tab, steady fps, just desktop.
Then I found this:
https://www.reddit.com/r/ghostoftsushima/comments/1ctlsni/memory_leak_on_pc/
and this bit:
"Basically I had to go into the files and disable the Playstation overlay, by removing the PSPC_SDK folder. "
I renamed folder name in ProgramFiles and it works now flawlessy.
I guess I could be to blame becouse I blocked all traffic made by game on firewall.

Hey dont be so hard the little console eunuchs, they need time to aim their lil vibratin thumbstick.
Roll just before landing to avoid damage from all but the highest of falls

It's a really good game though, much bigger than I thought it'd be too. If they did this well on their first Japanese adventure outing, I can't wait for sequels
Dunno, There seems to be some heights that can't be "dodged". Even if they are not too high. I think that applies mostly for those under ledges you can climb up/down. But also it's not working at times. Or maybe I don't hit the right timing.
@blackeyedboy I HATE the random zoom in, because it feels so claustrophobic. Can understand inside buildings but it happens even in open places without any walls around for the "cinematic effect".
