Well you know a battle is lost when this gets 70k players. We'll never be rid of trans monstrosities and wokeism at this rate. Consumers must consume
It will get more, just wait until the weekend is done for the real peak. I'm guessing it will peak around... 100K, maybe 150K?
But how is that not utterly laughable if compared to say, Starfield that hit ~250K on the first 24h, AYUND that one was on gamepass simultaneously?!
Even 100-150K for this is a failure, no matter what that goblin schreier or whichever narrative the gamejourno cucks try to spin on this one.

If the game is good no one will care for wekeism, other then some old farts haters, to be frank
I hate wokeism in TV as most woke show are really bad, but I also hate ppl that just hate for no reason
This is the dumbest thing i've read all day. "Guise! You're old farts since you hate woke. I also hate woke in things, but it's fine when i do" Thanks for the laugh this is Sin317 level dumbassery
The player numbers will drop in time, as the game will reveal it's... 'qualities'.
People bought this because:
• they preordered a long time ago
• the IP is massive / known
• previous games have been considered good / at least decent
• not every gamer had the time to follow the woke agenda
Unless...
Unlesspeople are become sheep® and accept to consume with blindness and IGNorance this abomination, like almost everything that's fed to them...
70K is not a big number, we don't need to find excuses for it. Monster Hunter Beta did 450K a few hours ago after 20 minutes since launch. Usually, for a big release like this one, you'd want to be at least 120-130K concurent, which means sales in the ballpark of 1 million, in the launch day/weekend. 70k is run of the mill stuff. You can ignore twitter posts from people who dont know how to interpret the data and are jumping on the CC wagon which became very popular these days, but few people know how to accurately understand these numbers. While pretty mediocre/underwhelming for such a big release, its probably ok taken together with consoles for Bioware
The game was never gonna outright bomb or fail. Most people at large dont give a fuck or even aware about gay or transexual characters in a game. This is just us and a few other thousand people online. Its very possible that its doing better on consoles. It doesnt happen too often these days, but there are games coming out with huge discrepancies between PC and ps5. Jedi: Survivor did extremely poorly on Steam while very well on consoles. Same with Silent Hill 2 remake. Bioware should be safe for the new Mass Effect, it all depends what the projections were internally by EA. This is a $200-300 million game or more, so numbers in the ballpark of ME Remastered edition from almost 4 years ago weren't what they had in mind, but if ps5 is doing some big lifting, it should be fine
70k is garbage numbers for a AAA game. Space Marine 2 had a 225k concurrent on release and that only sold about 4.5 mil copies so far. Now if you translate that to this, it would mean it will sell around 1.5 mil in a month or so, 2.25 if I'm being really generous. This shit is not making its money back. It was in development for such a long time, and was changed several times. This likely had little chance of being profitable even if it was a good game.
Haha yeah, I've been reading the humongous thread on the Codex and it's been a rollercoaster. Speaking of Schreier, he's claimed multiple times that he doesn't enjoy the game and its writing but he's delighted because he likes "seeing chuds get dunked on". That sums up the current level of journo-a-lism in the industry, then again water is wet.
i dunno mens... two hours in and the political-woke-pocalypse hasn't set in
so far this is an action rpg like so many others, a bit shallow but nothing revolting. ofc this is nothing like DA1 but if you could get behind Inquisition you'll probably enjoy this
(steamdb has it at 77% positive but after the paid reviewers, those are surely all transgendered)

I believe it's rather natural to see that the majority of people who spent 60 Gabeuros on this have no problem with it as they perfectly knew what they were going to find. Unlike Starfield which had some benefit of the doubt with its 'it will get better eventually and/or it will get better with mods' (both ending up being catastrophically false ), this game is essentially a finished ultra-mainstream product with a precise direction (I'd say identity but that's confused, to say the least )
Some find it jarring (including myself), while others are okay with it - to each their own, really. As long as folks don't label valid critique as toxic™ while basking in their low standards, all is well.
This... gamer wrote THIS review pointing out MOSTLY negative shit, yet he/she/he/her/xir/fuck still gives a positive review:
"Conflicted on whether I can recommend this game or not.
As a Dragon age Game...I cant recommend it. As an RPG its alright...Im about 8 hours in and it doesnt have the dark, gritty, feeling of any of the Dragon Age games. The writing is very sub-par and sometimes eye-rolling. The dialogue just overall feels very inauthentic. Its really disappointing that I found myself skipping through some of the dialogue because its just...boring. The game is however very pretty as an RPG. The combat is satisfying however can sometimes feel repetitive.
Id say pick this up when its on sale. I dont "regret" buying it, it feels like a fun RPG. However aside from the political reasons people have not been liking the game, the game just feels afraid to get as dark as a dragon age game should be. With that said, Ill finish the game. Then probably play Inquisition because I think that one deserves a second chance over this one...which is sad. "
@ixigia
fair enough, both Starfield and this one fashioned themselves as "returning to the roots" or "form" or whatever -- this couldn't be further from the truth here as i said before
this is an action game with rpg elements, not a great one, not the worst one
and ofc judging by those (clickbait) clips the anti-woke-outcrier-league put out it does seem like the most disgusting political propaganda -- but so far i haven't seen "the message" being shoved down the player's throat and i couldn't care less if it was just part of some optional romancing bs (again, this might change)
tbh i was much more bothered with say gayle constantly trying to get in my pants in BG3. and once i had finally blown him off ( ) , that fucking bear druid started getting all weird
is it me or AAA games seem to look worse and worse stylistically? it literally has asthetics of a mmo-ish action rpg tablet game
And all looking very uniform due to industry standardization/accessibility icons up the ass etc. Look at the one Obsidian is working on too, icons and bullshit everywhere. Eye cancer

I've been finally going through Divinity's Original Gate 3 for the past few weeks and "solved" the issue by resuming my old save in which I was playing as Gale himself...too bad nothing could be done to tame the Bear's wild hormones or the pervy tentacles
Still, even with all its limitations and the quirky writing that unfortunately doesn't quite capture the ol' spirit of Baldur's Gate, I'm finding the game competent in terms of actual RPG mechanics, exploration and experimentation - allowing for multiple approaches (including the evil psychopathic one) and more C&C than I expected in a relatively PC-centric framework.
Almost the complete opposite of the heavily consolized awesome butto'n-slash friendship simulator here, which to me visually and conceptually resembles jRPGs/MMOs/[insert cluttered noisy Asian thing] as illustrated above. That honestly bothers me as much as Biowere's insipid writing - it was also the reason why I bounced off I WANT TO BE A DURRGON 2 and barely made it through the Iron Bull's Inquisitive Tales.
What % of the world are trans/LGBT? We can't count the backwards shitholes like a lot of African countries, Pakistan, Bangladesh, The US, you know those shitholes steeped in religious fervour and bigotry
So I would guess, maybe 5-8%?
So, why do we ALL have to bow down to this indoctrination? Yes, be what you want by all means, but I don't want to play a char that looks like Lilly Savage! I want to play a bloke, this does not mean I don't support your struggle, it just means you live your life as you want and let me do the same!
Just because I don't want to play an effeminate char, does not mean I am transphobic! Grow up you fucking Nazi's (yes you are as bad as Nazi's as you will not see anyone elses point of view, and only your view is correct!) See what you are and think about it
..and many of these people are just roleplaying being gender fluid and pansexual etc where you can just be a normal heterosexual but to gain traction you say you're something else to have a more "interesting" personality or because it's easier if you want to do something Hollywood or possibly even gaming-wise.
I remember when Chris Stuckmann came out as pansexual "oh yeah i've had my wife for 20 years but well, you never know, i'm quite sure i'm pansexual! Oh, here's the movie i'm working on btw.." that's the vibe i get from such people, fucking shills.
