Did they change anything about the leveling system?
Yes, you get 12 points to freely spend on all your stats every time you level up and both Major and Minor skills give XP until they're 100. So no more need to pick shitty major skills because you want to level more efficiently
Ok, that's an improvement. That retard juicehead shill could have said that in that video I posted too...

That sounds like an improvement. Thanks.
I may try it out. I never finished the original after being lost in modding hell like I always do in these games.
"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."
Just saw this on another forum that they changed the old DLSS and Frame Gen version with the latest and it looked better with some performance improvements
"Use DLSS Swapper and change to the latest for improved DLSS quality and performance, which I think is v310.2.1!"
Couldn't get far yet was very tired yesterday and download took ages, but I leveled up sneak by sneaking in the cave where the emperor was with the others by going back and forth behind some wall, works just like back then
@A-A The fact we have to do this ourselves is beyond me, almost always improves most games that still use the old ones.

bold of you to assume baithead had any attention span for details like this
True, true.
Well, time to put a roll of quarters weighing on top of the w key while crouching in the initial dungeon then.
OR just player.modav x sneak that shit

they should've kept Ayleid ruins in white, made them look really special, now it just looks like your average ruin, doesn't stand out against the green in such a beautiful way that it did in the original game.
also look how bushy and nice the trees and bushes looks in comparison.
the new trees are like a straight pole with round general shape for leaves, very boring.
it also has pines (not sure what kind but clearly a conifer-type of tree), also missing.
Glad to see that modding is still possible to some extent (with more to come when the 'ol Bethfiles will be script-extended) -- the vanilla experience certainly has charm but it's very limited by its own designs. May the Gates of Oblivion open and embrace us with Maskars, OOO and Khajiit goodies.

Doesn't work for me. When I click "add game manually" nothing happens; no file box asking for path or anything. It does list a few steam and gog games I have. Perhaps it's anti-piracy? Oh well. We can override it in the NV game profile with Nvidia Profile Inspector.
and who knows what else I'm forgetting until I see a mod for it on nexus
I just can't "unsee" those aspects of the game.
Too bad that I also accidentally nuked my stable-ish modded version from a few years back and I really *REALLY* don't want to go through rebuilding that again.
Guess I'll wait a couple of months (hopefully) for skyblivion.
2025 and every door u open , is a loading screen ... and not even a quick one, like 6-7 seconds ... on streamer rigs ... like wtf ... wasnt there a mod that made skyrim without loading screens ... how the fuck this remaster cant do that
SEVEN WHOLE SECONDS EACH HOUSE OR CITY U ENTER
this game was made for IDE drives ... we are at fucking m2 SSDDDDDSSSSSS wtfffff.... low standards to the extreme
makes me wanna go back and compare loading times on my quad raid 0 ibm deathstar rig now when i was always the first on the battlefield 2 servers back in the day ... this is just a sick joke and melting seconds of ur life away laughing in ur face haha stupid gamer with ur 2000 euro videocard . wait like the pleb u are
To be fair, the underlaying engine is like 15 years old, UE is just doing the graphics, not anything else.. So of course stalker 2 can do stuff more seamlessly.
the old engine can handle fast loading times just fine, there was people complaining on reddit that they couldnt read the loading screen text when they played the old oblivion on newer rigs with ssds so its just pispoor optimization and explains its filesize ... SEVEN seconds dude ... to open a tiny shop inside a city u already loaded ... its just inexcusable
i think it's because of the way higher quality assets, but maybe also due to how the two engines has to cooperate, no idea.. but yes, i agree it's too long for a modern game, and i bet this is one of the reasons they went with "remaster" and not "remake"... for a remake, you can't have this.
"type M and F" instead of "1 and 2" for body type... so yeah, pretty damn spicy in 2025, apparently. can't have women and men, running around in computer games.
I saw a comment that Bethesda now care whether your character has Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes now lol.
May the NFOrce be with you always.

Despite Todd's unbreakable promise that the leveling system in Oblivon had been "fixed" this is, sadly, not the case. When I learned that quest rewards STILL pull from a leveled pool like some sort of troglodyte moron game made for idiots
Signature/Avatar nuking: none (can be changed in your profile)
