Experience the brutal fusion of galactic strategy and grimdark warfare in Total War: WARHAMMER 40,000. Take command of iconic factions, customise your war machine, and engage in devastating battles as you carve a bloody warpath across the stars.
Command Four Iconic Factions
Lead campaigns across the void with four radically distinct factions, each forged with their own unique array of lore-inspired gameplay features, devastating weaponry, apocalyptic war machines, and methods of warfare.
Space Marines: Genetically enhanced weapons of war, these warriors are few in number but each is the equal of a host of lesser troops. Clad in sacred power armour and wielding deadly weaponry, they are an uncompromising force that strikes with devastating and unyielding precision.
Orks: Brutish hordes of destruction, they are unrelenting, countless and live for war. Storming the battlefield in endless mobs, they brandish unpredictable weapons and clanking war machines.
Aeldari: An ancient and waning alien race, who once ruled the stars, but now find themselves scattered, battling against extinction. Swift and elusive, they strike with psychic precision and elegant weaponry, exploiting weakness before vanishing into shadow.
Astra Militarum: The massed ranks of humanityโs largest fighting force are a bulwark of flesh and steel. Their legions of soldiers' march beneath the roar of battle-tanks and the thunder of artillery, grinding enemies into ruin with disciplined fury and sheer determination.
From the gameplay glimpse seems like the battles are smaller scale, securing outposts like in DoW. Anyways, it's Creative Assembly, the game will be playable maybe 2 years after the release
This makes very little sense as a TW game. What is even "diplomacy" in a 40K?
Who said there's gonna be diplomacy...? Would make zero sense, doubt they're gonna include it. It was omitted in Gladius as well, after all.
So it's just an RTS? What makes it different from DoW? That's not what "Total War" is, but these days, it's a joke anyway. Gods, magic, etc. in the "historical" Total Wars, so why not this
This thread summarizes the lack of understanding what a TW game is supposed to be. "Hurr durr moar units on screen, soe moar bettar tahn puny dawn of war lolzzz"

And, pray tell, what do you base this on? Not getting excited from a single trailer and almost no information, by a company that has produced nothing but shit over the last decade and a half? The last good TW was Shogun 2, and that was what, 2010? They've earned all the skepticism they get. Look at that developer interview. They talk more about army painter than gameplay mechanics. Just because you are fangirling over DLC potential doesn't mean all of us skeptics are "not fans" of the universe (retarded names like "Aeldari" and "Astra Militarum" not withstanding). "Just sayin'."
CA deserve to crash and burn. The sooner, the better.

It won't be a tragedy if no more Total War games are made โ definitely not by following the current trend CA has been setting. The series has been stale since Warhammer II, anyway. And the histroy titles way before that.
This game/world might not be for you. Just sayin'.
