Definitely feels like Walter Scott's Ivanhoe.
Since not much supernatural componenent is expected according to the novels this show is based upon, this resemblance will persist.

This episode was 33 minutes, almost 10 minutes shorter than the first episode!

its 31 minutes without end credits. that is super disappointing. the series has no introduction theme though (very odd).

last time we had shitting at the start, guess what we have this time? Laughing

(i've only watched the start so far).

People defending the short runtime because it was adapted from novellas which are obviously short stories and therefore less material to work with.
I guess that’s true but when you’re used to at least 50 minutes after The Game of Thrones and The House of the Drsgon episodes, it’s rather disappointing :/

Its kinda like you're expecting it to not be much of anything. 3 episodes to start some jousting. Ok, 3 episodes left after that.

it's good, but i agree. this is as minimalistic as it can possibly get and that's not what you want from this type of series.

Short as it may be, what is there is really solid. I loved it, but I was also really annoyed when it ended cause I just wanted more. I expected I was about at the half-point of the episode, and I was spot on... if this were a normal length. Honestly, this is one of those series where I wished they released the whole season.

i do reckon he would get so much shit for being bald, and people would stare and ask him about it, but there's nothing which feels off. This is a very brutal and often hateful world, him being a kid would not exclude him.

also, dont read up why he shaves his head bald, major spoiler lol. though, made me more interested in him..

great second episode too, short episodes but its like a half hour buddy comedy, the great writing makes up for the lack of action

Haven’t seen it yet, I fell asleep lol.
Shortest episode yet though, 31 minutes apparently :/

Edit: Another good (but short) episode which ended with a nice twist! Very Happy

A Knight in the Making is great!
It’s so interesting seeing how they create the scenes in the show and the effort put into it.

I loved every episode so far. The only thing that sucks about this show is that I have to wait another week for the next episode.

Again, a solid enough episode, but really I don't know... it's just dragging a bit with having to wait a week after a 30 min episode. This was likely the correct way to release it, to gain traction, but I would have just rather had a 3 hour movie.

Also, I mean... even as someone who didn't read the book, everything about Egg was fucking obvious, pretty much spelled out for you, and yet they treat it like a big reveal? Like ok...

And in general the ending of the episode and the whole "triggering incident" were kind of contrived for me, so I don't know... It's not the biggest deal, it's just a bit disappointing.

The writing is so great, so many funny moments in E03, love the interactions between Egg and Duncan.

I think i quite like having something to look forward to every week.. too bad its so short.

I'd say the set-up is done. Only 3 episodes remain Crying or Very sad
