I'm surprised they are spending more resources on original version of the game vs retail. Is the end goal here to combine everything into one game or just make WoW2? I still dont understand the appeal of Classic with modern features...but then again I am currently playing wotlk with player bots on my own server

Part of the appeal is nostalgia and the slower pace of the game. Season of Discovery was a big hit but they never really had any good plans for it other than add a bit of chaotic fun to it.

WoW Forever appears to take the good bits of SoD and add a whole bunch of newer things. I'll definitely give it a shot. Will play the beta next week to see how it is.

the fact they didnt mention anything against bots annoys me tremendously ... if u see classic ah prices and how nodes are camped and the amount of flyhacking bots ... they have no plan for it to do meaningfull anti botting and they sure as hell wont have gms anymore
