I'm surprised they are spending more resources on original version of the game vs retail.
Is the end goal here to combine everything into one game or just make WoW2?
I still dont understand the appeal of Classic with modern features...but then again I am currently playing wotlk with player bots on my own server
Part of the appeal is nostalgia and the slower pace of the game. Season of Discovery was a big hit but they never really had any good plans for it other than add a bit of chaotic fun to it.
WoW Forever appears to take the good bits of SoD and add a whole bunch of newer things. I'll definitely give it a shot. Will play the beta next week to see how it is.
the fact they didnt mention anything against bots annoys me tremendously ... if u see classic ah prices and how nodes are camped and the amount of flyhacking bots ... they have no plan for it to do meaningfull anti botting and they sure as hell wont have gms anymore
I could have been a little excited about this if they didn't immediately retail this with some blue fucking elves out of nowhere that ride on clouds and shiiieeet
Could have given us regular High Elves like classic always had as a neutral race or something
Or Goblins for the Horde, High Elves for the Alliance like Turtle Wow did
Fans did wow forever better than Blizzard for a while now
Turtle Wow was sick, which exactly why Blizzard shut it down and is releasing this now
But fuck that, those projects are hugely popular? Can't have that shit, lets rush our own version, shut down everyone else and make some moooneeeey.
Shit company
Quote:
Forced to flee Kalimdor to escape Tortheldrin's wrath, these elves spent years on the open sea, pushing ever westward into the unknown.
The rebels eventually discovered an undiscovered land ruled by ancient primordial elemental spirits, and with Tortheldrin's fleet close on their heels, they were forced to strike a bargain with a group of wind spirits, who lifted an enormous landmass of this island into the sky in order to escape Azeroth entirely. Using powerful elemental magic, the wind spirits anchored the floating Zephras Isle in Skywall. Safe and hidden from the vengeance of their pursuers, the skyborne spent thousands of years building a small but vibrant civilization hidden in a corner of the Elemental Plane of Air.
This is just straight up retail shit.

We should make a new topic for WoW Forever. All news lately is Forever this and Forever that. As a retail player... I dont give a damn about classic and Forever.

Then we need a thread for retail, but i guess it would be pretty dead and empty.
