Unbelievable! They've managed to kill NWN!
No real choice can be made anymore (forced to add gang members with no way to get rid of them), lame cut-scenes with poorly written dialogue, weak story, mediocre graphics, over used sounds from the first game and no cool menu features!
See, this plague is not just in the game industry, it also happens in the movies. Why take a design that works and change it completely instead of improving it?
Movies – It's called the art film.
Games – It's called changing the developer.
This world is getting dumber by the minute…

forced to add party members? I choose to accept all that have come my way but I know theres dialogue to refuse them...no way to get rid of them? Theres an Inn designed especially for that very purpose...Even if that dialogue to deny them joining doesnt work you can always dump them at that Inn.
The other stuff is your opinion but I dont know what your comparing this game to, it stands up fine to the old NWN and even to BG2, even if it is less involved then the latter.
The only reasonable thing you mention is the use of alot of NWN sounds, which is true, they did reuse alot of the old game assets.

You tell me how I can kick party members or refuse them (like Kaneesha or whatever that f'ing daemon bitch!), and I'll be more happy.
And what about no dubbed dialogue for everyone in this world? Why do I have to read so much?! You'd think that a 7gigs game would have the whole dialogue dubbed like oblivion.
And don't get me started on camera control!

It's because of people like you that CRPGs have been on a long, slow decline over the past decade.

Is everyone's map working fine? I've only got up to the swamp but so far none of the maps have appeared properly, they are weird and buggy and I can't use them. That is going to be a problem if I go dungeon crawling as I will get lost.

If you have virtual cd installed, like I did, it wont work. You must uninstall it and reboot. After that, it worked with DT 4.03HE, all options off, and procyon loader.
What is yasu.exe?

Considering the main purpose of NWN isn't the included campaign, but the persistent worlds and other mods to be made with it, no, I don't think they killed. I wish they'd kill you, because honestly by the time they hear my cries and get around to it, you still won't have found a clue.
Neverwinter Nights has always been intended as a toolset. The included campaign is just something to get people in to it. The quality of it really doesn't matter much. Its a drop in the buck of the content you'll actually experience by having this product.

the only thing I really lack is a quick-save feature... that would've made things soo much smoother!
and the party-ai is sometimes incredibly annoying... when for instance you find a trap in a small corridor, and you wait for the enemies to wander onto it... your stupid party members walk happily onto it... grr.

So LAN multiplayer isnt useable with the scene release? Pretty weak that you HAVE to be connected to the internet to play a LAN session (to authenticate yourself with Bioware).

You don't moron. Unplug the internet or deny access to the internet and it skips authentication allowing you to play a LAN game.

I "dont moron" then...you "dont moron" too, k?
I tried to give nw2master.bioware.com in the hostfile a random local ip, but it didnt work...they must talk directly to 204.50.199.12, so i blocked UDP packets there in my firewall. When it tries to authenticate it gets stuck for a minute or so, but it works afterwards.
