					| A Vampyre Story

  	  | Quote: | | From a development staff made wholly of former LucasArts adventure gaming gurus comes this frightful and fantastical point-and-click adventure game. Combining 3D animation and 2D designs, the game follows the opera starlett, Mona, a woman kidnapped by Baron Shrowdy Von Kiefer and slowly becoming a creature of the night after coming under the vampire's spell. As she seeks to venture away from his gothic island-set castle, she'll have to learn to control her vampyric powers of turning into a bat, hypnotizing people, turning into vapor, and drinking blood from humans. Her friendly bat acquaintance, Froderick, will join her on her quest.

					| They did not get a publisher until recently, and they are working in a very small team with a low budget, what did you expect?
I love the design of this game, it's one of the very few adventure games that stays true to the genre.

					| if they had nearly finished the 2d version of the game, they should release both versions in one, so you could change view according to taste. That would be awesome | |

					| think you need your eyes checked. the background of that screen is superb, and the 3d model holds up well.

					| Me 2, I guess 3d characters are cheaper to do. And those on last screenshots do look bad.

					| Ah, great. They can't use game engine that is a century old and probably even work of their hands, because they are worried of being sued by some prick lawyer from George Lucas.

I'm not shure that's true for adventure games. Quality animated characters must take a while to draw, and probably cost more money. It could cost more to make some complicated 3d animation with motion capture. I guess there must be a reason that you don't see adventure games with drawn characters anymore.

					| 2D verison looks better, a shame they didnt include both version in the release. | KrutojPoc wrote: | | | Oddmaker wrote: | | Why do they always do it! I would of loved the 2D version |
Because publisher only gives money if the game is in 3D.
I personally dont care, as long as the game is fun to play

					| Yes, they have, and the game is nearing completion. It's a mix of 2d and 3d by the way. | |

					| Game info so far....
 * The programming on AVS will be done at the end of February; it is not yet known how long testing will take
 * All the animation is done, all the final main backgrounds are done; there are a handful of close ups to paint and about 60 objects that need texturing, then the rest is bug fixes
 * Bill Tiller is getting ready to do their final voice recording at Studio Jory with Bay Area Sound - he has to do one more pass at all the dialog to make sure it is correct and isn’t too PG-13
 * They’re jumping on to AVS2 right away, having already started on some work on it - rig fixes and few model fixes and some new characters designs
 * AME are talking with three other publishers on a second game, on which we might get some more information in a few months
 * They are interested in doing a licensed game, and will be pitching that after AVS1 is done
 * Mona will sing twice in AVS, but there will be no real song and dance routine
 * System requirements are not yet known, but you’ll probably need at least 500 MB of RAM
 * In the future, AME will be using a new, improved engine for their games, which will speed up development
 * If AVS becomes popular, there will likely be spin-off games
 * There will be AVS toys - at least of Froderick and Mona
 * Anti-aliasing is support, depending on your video card
 * Max will appear in AVS, but in an unusual way - “you won’t be able to miss him”, according to Bill
 * The in-game music is all done, and Pedro Macedo Camacho, the composer, is now working on FMV music
 * The music from the game will be released on a CD
 * There are 7 FMV sequences, if you count the credits
 * The cover will be painted by Bill Eaken
 * After the CD has been in stores for a few months, it’s likely that the game will be distributed online
 * There might be a limited edition, possibly with a code wheel (just for laughs), and perhaps a map of Draxsylvania and/or other goodies

 Getting close.

 Still no release?
