The HL2 Episodes was always confirmed to be a three-parter.
Correcting people since 2007 even if they're not wrong.

I just played through EP2 with cracked steam, it was totally awesome. They finally drove the story forward, great enemies, everything was perfect. Again, a little on the short side, but one also gets Portal and Team Fortress 2. Portal will be great for the modding community, and well, TF2 is TF2.
I think I might actually buy that pack later on when it gets a little cheaper...

Yes I did, got the preloaded gcf files yesterdays from a renowned steam cracking forum (not pacsteam) got the patches for those GCF files from their forum aswell (about an hour after the official launch) and patched the preloaded gcfs with their tool CFToolbox. The tool decrypts the .gcfs and Steam allows you to play, that simple. Now you shut up.

Sweet! I was able to pick this up today at Target. I am very excited to play this. I forgot my Steam account LOL! Got it to work though from the reminder system Steam has. It's funny 15GB total install for everything. Wasn't Stranglehold 15GB?! LOL! Episode 2 will fall first. Then I will hit TF2.

episode 2 out now
Nfo:
Spoiler: | P R E P A R E T O B E U N L E A S H E D ! !
Half Life 2: Episode Two (C) Valve
Release Date : 10-10-2007 Protection : Steam
Release Type : DVD9 Game Genre : Action
Release Notes:
Half-Life 2: Episode Two is the second in a trilogy of new games created
by Valve that extends the award-winning and best-selling Half-Life
adventure.
As Dr. Gordon Freeman, you were last seen exiting City 17 with Alyx
Vance as the Citadel erupted amidst a storm of unknown proportions. In
Episode Two, you must battle and race against Combine forces as you
traverse the White Forest to deliver a crucial information packet stolen
from the Citadel to an enclave of fellow resistance scientists.
Episode Two extends the award-winning Half-Life gameplay with unique
weapons, vehicles, and newly-spawned creatures.
Additional Notes:
No installer supplied for this release because Steam sucks.
If you really want steam garbage installed on your computer, you can
wait for some lame group to steal our steam files and write a steamified
cockjob installer for you, after all that's what most groups do nowadays.
Clone grps own all the releases ever done since crackers just steal em
and add crackfiles to it. The rest of you who want to play this game
now you can deal with winrar, since that's the best installer.
Install Notes:
1. Unpack the release with WinRAR or equivalent
2. Create shortcut on hl2.exe and add -steam -game ep2
3. Play and Enjoy |

I wonder if both releases (hl2ep2 and portal) contain the same hl2 base files (which most people already have on their pc)..

Can we expect a full release of the entire Orange Box, or simply Unleashed's individual releases?
Thanks!

PC overpassed x360 when 8800GTX was out an year ago. If you read an interview to Crytek about a console porting of Crysis they said that they would have downgraded the graphic in order to make it playable on console.
