He reappears at the Markets, top of the stairs. Once you've spoken to him, he vanishes and doesn't reappear until you've done a few quests and/or left the station.
He was a bitch for me too, spent ages looking for him.

The Fan quest. You need to complete a planet then go back to market he will show up. I think you have to do it 3 times. Not sure but check back after you complete a planet.

I like the fact that they used some of the voice actors from KOTOR in Mass Effect. The grunt you start with (can't remember his name) also did the voice of Carth in KOTOR.

The voice acting is sublime, some of the best in the industry to be sure.

Why should they use other actors when they have a good one working for them? I wonder if that guy objects that - for example - Mel Gibson acts in more than one movie...

I had a strange feeling that one of C-sec officers voice was recorded by Micheal Ironside. Anyone else?

I didn't object because it's the same voice actor--the guy was fine in Republic Commando and his various guest appearances on television shows--but because his character in ME is basically a clone of Carth Onasi, who was the most annoying character in either KotOR game. The fact that it's the same voice actor was just one more thing that makes ME seem like just another retread of KotOR and Jade Empire.

Carth may have been annoying, but Kaidan isn't as annoying and is pretty powerful for a biotic.

I'm actually a shock soldier or whatever there called. I've put in about 15 hours now just from reading beating 2 planets (story) 1 planet (side quest) completed all the quests on the citadel. There is so much lore in this game that I just get lost into it when I start it up. This is why I loved the KOTOR games though we have had alot of lore from the movies/books which helped. Even if some of the things from Kotor made it into this game (mechanics/voice) who cares it was great then it is great now. If most of you would just stop take a step back & look at this game in it's whole I would have to say there are not too many games that give you as much playtime and quality then this. I'm not complaining about you guys who are nit picking but if you did stop for a moment & tried to enjoy something for what it is you might find alot more pleasure out of the things you see/do/hear. Trust me I used to nit pick everything and never found joy in anything I played.

I'm with you on this Ace.
Bioware have never let me down, their games are always masterpieces - sheer works of art. Everything from graphics to audio, from story to voices ... always masterpieces. Mass Effect doesn't disappoint in that regard. Sure it looks/feels like KoTOR -- but is that a bad thing? KoTOR was legendary and the sequel, while created by Obsidian instead, was still amazing.
I'm EAGERLY awaiting news on Mass Effect 2 -- and the new DLC coming from Bioware too.

Could someone post a save with hardcore difficulty (and nothing else if possible) unlocked? I really want to play on hardcore for my first playthrough.
Thanks in advance
Really cool game so far, was a little skeptical about the real time combat which has the potential to go horribly wrong (read Vampire Masquerade Bloodlines) but its done really well here.
Oh and I posted this in the other topic, but I think it fits here better.

Me too, and I'm glad to see other people who like KOTOR II as well. ME is a really great, dare I say amazing game, it belongs with the other great ones, like Deus Ex -though I still think Warren Spector's masterpiece is better, Bioware came really close, again.
