I just want to know before I'll get swallowed by a black hole.

oh god! people still believe the end of the world from the LHC?
Read not to contradict and confute, nor to believe and take for granted, but to weigh and consider.
To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world.
In all your remembering, remember that you have choices

I'm waiting for the possible discovery of the Higgs bozon... If they find it it would make such changes in my future studies... It's very interesting...

I'm sorry, I still haven't got over the fact I read HARDON instead of HADRON, every time I see anything about it...

Just a simple elementary particle stuff... I've read the article about that some months ago. It's interesting because on my uni we have class named Physics of Elementary Particles, on fourth or fifth year, and since I want to study theoretical physics, I can't wait to see what will happen. Some people here in Cro in one of research institutes will be connected to CERN and recieve data from LHC, and we have few of our men working in CERN so it's kinda a big deal here

I can't wait to hear the results from these experiments! If they get the results they are expecting this could become one of the biggest discoveries of all time.

I'm sure that LeoNatan is waiting for results of how to achieve new methods of bigger and longer-lasting hardons...
But actually it would be cool if they created black holes in that thing.

I don't think there's a definite timeline, that website with the countdown isn't accurate, it just resets everytime it reaches the end. Some people say it could be the first time machine, that would be cool.

I read a few weeks ago that it was due to be switched-on last Monday and it would take about six weeks to warm up before they can start smashing atoms.

well actually they could have activate it like several months ago, but they need to cool down the giant magnets to 4 K (-269,15°C) to become superconductive, that is the main reason why this is taking so long...
