Not a sim, looks fun though. At least it takes some skill to properly drive, reminded me a little of Project Gotham Racing.

Still waiting for a good NFS, I really prefer the "street racing" like Most Wanted, sadly Undercover was poor.

I remember even the good old PC F1 sims had something like a "reset" button that put your car back on the right track..

I'm talking about this moment:

"earthlike car physics" Laughing

Even in Grid this would have been red blur of death. Smile

why are you laughing at earthlike car physics, in grid you could take corners at impossible speeds, in this game most definately not, good example is corner after the long straight and how hard the player smashes into the wall because just goes way to fast.

Ive been playing this (except the last wich i just skipped) from the very first (on a 386 sx, with a 2 meg videocard wich was amazing by the time, and the cockpits and simulation values, man... and was one of the best of the series).

But having seen this last video, and STILL even after the last epic fails and rap-hip-hop gangsta style horrible shit, i like the coming back to the roots!

(but i cant help thinking that it should been named "Need for speed: grid xerox)

Because physics is not just about taking corners, but the whole package altogether. ProStreet also required you to slow to almost a halt in some corners. So? It had a physics system very far from "earthlike".

Also, play Grid with the aids set to off. Smile

Yeah cause they most definitely had all assists off for NFS:S in E3..
They even have the driving line on! Laughing prolly had God mode as well.

Nope, they have stated that there will not be terminal damage. My point was that even in Grid with all assists on, a crash like that would have been much much more than a crack in the window. Look at my link, he crashes into three objects and continues the race at full speed.

Edit: Rolling Eyes

No need to argue with fanbois, is there. Enjoy your boat driving experience yet again with NFS!

I haven't heard of that. Well, if the final game with driving aids off plays like that then it really is just another NFS...But I will still hold my judgment until after I have played it and seen for myself.

are you people for real? nfs has been shit for like forever. i don't get why people even bother with it anymore. it's just some cash-grabbing franchise aimed at retardeens (yes, it's a word).

i liked the first 6 larrys, but that don't mean i'm gonna play (or defend!!) box office bust. because i'm not THAT stupid. see?

Well we bother because we were promised a [semi]sim by a developer who did sims before joining NFS. But it seems EA has copped out and has come out with ProStreet with dashboards.

Same thoughts here natan, ProStreet with dashes.
But from what it "Looks!" like they've improved handling.

But mwaa, i think its to much GRID'ish.
They should have stick to the streets, that what NFS is about.
Midnight club with these physics, simulation, would be awsome.
And massive car tuning ofcourse.

Huh, hehe? No, NFS has actually been about driving exotic cars in exotic locales. That is, before EA started with the Underground stuff. Smile
